About Maria Svensson

Research Interests
My main research interest is about teaching and learning technology. A starting point has been childrens, youths and students experiences of technology and what that means inrelation to teaching.  My research has mainly used a phenomenographic approach. I now directed my research interest towards the teaching of technological systems.

Teaching Interests
My teaching interests are technology didactics in teacher training. Professional development of teachers and teacher educators in terms of technology Education is also an area that interests me and teaching about grades and assessment. Collaborations both nationally and internationally important for developing and deploying technology education research and my collaboration with CETIS and ETHYLENE is therefore important for both my research and my teaching techniques. Teaching of technology in close collaboration with the community and businesses are me heart and it is a recurring theme in my teaching and the various projects that I participate in.
