About Anne Dragemark Oscarson

Research interest
Anne Dragemark Oscarson has written her doctoral dissertation in language education (subject-matter education). Her main research interest is in the field of self-assessment, specifically of productive skills in English as a foreign language (EFL). The research area touches on many areas within language education such as linguistics, assessment practices, psychology of learning, and motivation. Special areas of interest are for example whether students and teachers perceive that there are areas that students themselves can assess better than an external examiner, possible consequences self- and/or peer-assessment may have on students’ language learning and whether these practices may help students develop a more realistic picture of their language skills.

Teaching interests
Anne Dragemark Oscarson mainly teaches within the Teacher Education Programme in English but has wide experience from the core educational courses and Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She gives lectures on alternative forms of assessment as well as writing and language development.
